They are finally here.

I can't believe how long it's been since I blogged. I am a terrible terrible blogger. But in my defence the last few months have been filled with all sorts of unexpected turns.

The part:three gig has been and gone and it was a tremendous success. Pete, Alex and I all thoroughly enjoyed the show and are looking forward to doing a few more together over the summer including the isle of wight festival.

Unfortunately my health hasn't been quite so successful, I was quite poorly for the first few months of this year which resulted in a fairly dramatic emergency bowel resection a few weeks ago. This has played havoc with my music, I had to cancel all my shows in March and it was looking like I wasn't going to be able to launch the album and do the spring tour. But by the miraculous hands of the surgeons at Poole Hospital, they have managed to fix me up, staple me back together and I am pretty much completely recovered now. So, it seems that the hands of fate are playing me a good game and I'm all set to send the new album off into the world.

My day today has consisted of nothing but nerves waiting for Nat at Disc Factory to call and tell me the albums were ready for collected. Lo and behold he calls at 3.30pm and says "they are here and they are beautiful, I think this is the best project we have ever worked on". So, I ran to the car, forgot to put on my glasses and drove half blind to Ringwood to see the final product. Nat was right they are simply beautiful. I know that they are mine and I shouldn't say that but Ross has done such a truly amazing job with the artwork, Clive and Jim De Maine have mastered it to brilliance in Nashville and the band have worked so hard that I can't help but be proud.

So, they are ready for pre-orders at www.loubrownmusic.com I promise if you order a copy you won't be disappointed, even if you totally hate the music you can frame the cover.

Liddy and I have started rehearsing up for the tour. We've got a lot of songs to nail but I'm pretty confident we can get there. Clive is flying over a few days before the album launch so that we have 3 days solid band rehearsals for the show.

If you haven't bought your tickets for the album launch yet you can buy them at:

I'm nervous, I'm hoping people love the album but I won't know until I can convince them to buy a copy. If you live anywhere near the shows for the spring tour I would love it if you came. I'm gonna try and do a daily blog whilst I tour...hmmm...seeing how it is 3 months since I last blogged this may or may not come off.

I'll leave you with some pictures of the last few months.
